ATS Story
ATS — name of god, sun, legendary businessman Aditya Vikram Birla. It all started as a partnership between 2 people which later on got converted into a company and now a Group of Companies. Though we have retained the name of Aditya Trading Solutions as it is for our commodity business, we shortened it to ATS and made it common across all our group companies' names.

Without ATS as a suffix, Aditya Trading Solutions for Capital Markets would have had to be named Aditya Trading Solutions Share Brokers Private Limited — a name too long to write on a cheque — so we abbreviated it to ATS Share Brokers Private Limited; the same goes for other group companies such as ATS Wealth Managers and so on. We have had a very humble beginning and always believed in staying firm on the ground. Each logo colour has a meaning: a mix of the colour of soil and metals. The colour of soil signifies the humility of Team ATS and metallic colours symbolise its strength. Copper and silver also tell about the commodities on offer for trading on our platform — we began our journey as a commodity brokerage firm, and metals were the major commodities on our platform.

Coming from a generations-old business family of Varanasi, he always wanted to start something of his own — and that is when he started ATS by becoming a member of the stock and commodity exchanges and turned it into a very profitable business.

He has been investing in the equity market ever since on the company's behalf and advising many other clients of ATS. He has very sound knowledge of the technicalities of the market and wishes to utilise it by creating a large fund for equity market investing. Vikas lives with a mission to make ATS a full-fledged asset management company. He started his professional career in 2001 with Chemoil Corporation, USA in the trading department, taking care of the OTC desk and hedging crude oil inventory across NYMEX, Rotterdam and Singapore.

Started his career as an Executive — Merchant Banking and has been actively involved in the market for over 23 years. He took many companies to IPO before joining Chemoil Corporation USA, leading a team of traders across the world in crude oil and forex.

In 2004 he decided to venture into the market with his ex-colleague Vikas Jain and founded Aditya Trading Solutions Private Limited (ATS), which went on to become one of the biggest commodity broking companies in India with a record volume of 1,500 crores and an average of over 1,000 crores daily volume. Today ATS is the biggest commodity broking company in South India. He manages investment portfolios worth several crores and currently runs a fund called Grow with India. His all-time favourite investor has been Peter Lynch.
