How to register for CDSL easiest using the ATS demat account?

To register for CDSL Easiest portal, follow the steps:

  • Log in to Myeasi by visiting https://web.cdslindia.com/myeasinew/home/login
  • In Demat Details , the first 8 digits of the demat account number are DP ID and the last 8 digits of the demat account number are Client ID (BO ID). See, What is my demat account number? Where can I check my demat ID?

    If you are creating CDSL account for transferring shares, then the Demat Details of the broker from which you have to transfer the shares should be entered. For Example, you have to transfer shares from XYZ broker to ATS. So, you have to enter the demat details of XYZ broking. You can get a demat account number of your current broker from its CMR Copy.   • Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click continue.
  • Under the Accounts Details section, enter the preferred username, answer the security question and tick on ‘Trusted Account (Pin)’ and click on continue.
  • Under Trusted Details, enter the demat account number of the account where you want to transfer the shares. Referring to the example given in step 2, here you have to put ATS demat account number and click on continue.
  • Finished is an optional step If you have more than one demat account with CDSL from different brokers. You can group all of them through this option. Just click on the existing CDSL demat account that needed to be added as a trusted account and click on continue. You can also skip this step by simply clicking on the continue button.
  • The registration is now Finished. Once your existing broker authenticates this request, CDSL account will be activated for this BO ID and you will receive your temporary password and Pin through email within 48 hours.
