I have received mail from ATS asking for KYC information. What should I do?

ATS sometimes requests KYC information if there is an issue with KYC documents while opening an account. The most common rejections and the documents required to rectify them are mentioned below in the table:

Rejection Reason How to rectify it?
Aadhaar Card is not masked According to SEBI guidelines, we can only accept the masked Aadhaar card. The best way to download the masked Aadhaar card is to log in to DigiLocker website and download the Aadhaar card from the Issued Documents tab. See How can I update my KYC documents on DigiLocker?
Name or father's name or Date of Birth is not as per PAN

Online:If the phone number is linked with Aadhaar card and any of these details are needed to be updated, then you have to do Re-KYC. The Re-KYC link will be sent to you in your email. Just follow the instruction and do the e-sign again.

Offline: If your phone number is not linked, then you have to courier a hard copy of the KYC form along with a self-attested copy of your PAN card to ATS.

In that case, you can download your latest masked aadhaar card by visiting DigiLocker website, under Issued Documents and then re-upload it by clicking on the Re-KYC link you receive in your mail.

Offline: If your phone number is not linked to your aadhaar card, then you have to send a hard copy of your KYC form along with the latest self-attested copy of your aadhaar card to ATS.
